Bride profiles: Sarah & Jenn’s fairy wedding

August 21st, 2008 · Posted by Ariel

The offbeat bride: Sarah, writer

Her offbeat partner: Jenn, typist

Location & date of wedding: Our meadow, Basom, NY. September 29, 2007

What made our wedding offbeat: We wanted our wedding to be a reflection of our deepest spirits - and said spirits just happen to have wings ;D

My wife is very much a Winter person, and I’m very much an Autumn person - so we came up with a vision of how we’d pull it off. J. Scott Indiana Wedding PhotographyOffbeat Brides in Indiana, your time has finally come! If you’re looking for a Indianapolis wedding photographer who’s friendly to the ways of the non-trad bride (red dress? fairy wings? no problem!), J. Scott Photography is ready for you.

Run by Jamie and Brandy, a husband and wife team who played the theme to “The Odd Couple” at their own wedding, J. Scott Photography’s shots clearly run towards the artist and lush.

Jamie has a fine arts degree, and you can see from their wedding photo gallery that he definitely brings that aesthetic eye to his wedding photography as well.

For lots more shots from J. Scott Photography (including the cutest be-winged flower girls evar!) keep reading…

Wedding porn: Best! Picture! Evar!

Bride & JewelsHow many of my favorite wedding things can you count in this photo? Let me see …

1. Red wedding dress. Duh.

2. Wedding wings.

3. You can’t really see it in this shot, but that’s a ribbon veil! And we know I loves the ribbon veils.

4. Grinning boston terrier as bouquet. (I have a boston mix, so I’m biased.)

5. Total “not taking any shit” look from the barefoot bride.

Check out the full set over here!

I wish more brides wore wings to their weddings … it’s such a fanciful, fun way to lighten up the day. Can this become a trend, please? Thanks.
