Our offbeat wedding at a glance: We involved our community as much as possible. The photographer, the caterer, the dresses, the music, the decorations, the hair and makeup, the ceremony, and the photo booth were either a gift or a trade. We saved a ton of money doing it that way. The venue (which we paid for) was the most important thing to us. We wanted a colorful space that already possessed character with a dining area, a dance floor, and an outdoor area.

Rather than having guests fill out a guest book, we had Mad Lib-style cards up at the bar for people to fill out while waiting for their drinks. The photo booth and our ridiculous leg lamp cake (that even lit up!) were my favorite parts of the event.

I love these Star Trek coloring books! This, along with other awesome additions to the Flickr Pool and Pinterest, comprise this week's Monday Montage. You'll find some favor fans, retro bridesmaids, playing card save-the-dates, and a pair of awesome wings!

I got lost on Pinterest looking at various suspender styles after spying Diane Kruger sporting the menswear trend. It looks seriously versatile and AWESOME. I've always loved men in suspenders, but seriously… anyone can (and should) rock it. And I hope you love the wings look in the last one!

These lovely lasses celebrated the ability to have a legal wedding in New York with sparkles, fairy wings, and all things rainbow (in honor of the pride flag, of course!). You will die a thousand deaths after seeing the many-colored dresses, rainbow layer cake with My Little Ponies on top, and rainbow self-catered food that the Mrs. + Mrs. put together.

This Monday Montage is full of amazing dress fashion, skull shoes, pink saddle shoes, zip lining, and even some wings. The Offbeat Flickr Pool wins again!

It's Talk Like a Pirate Day, so we have some pirate-y fun in store including a wee little pirate and a couple of swarthy stowaways. But mostly we've got some impressive stuff happening with satyr horns, bowie knife cake cutters, high-fiving couples, napping couples, and a bouquet with a vendetta. There's also a link showing you how to craft a Harry Potter howler! Shiver me timbers, it's a good'un.

Can't choose just one best man? Just have a two-headed "Beast Man." Then have your moms come as "Mummy of the Bride" and "Hot Mama." Don't forget the "boo-quet" for this Gothic Fairy + Day of the Dead = FAY of the Dead wedding!
