This week we're paying homage to the academics, the bookworms, the card-carrying library loiterers, and the literati among our readers. Last week we got to peek at some literary wedding invitations that totally whet my appetite for this theme week. So in addition to our usual round-up of reader submissions via Flickr and Pinterest, we're showcasing some bookish wedding details including decor made from book pages, bookish cake toppers, table numbers from vintage books, and even a Scrabble cake!

The cake toppers have been my wedding DIY albatross. It actually never occurred to me to craft anything for the wedding. I buy things. That is how I roll. But my fiance expressed that he had faith in my never-used crafting abilities, so I give it a go and, as usual, he was right — I CAN do this stuff. If you want to make birdies from clay, give this a try.

What we have here is a case of awesome wedding with should-I-use-Offbeat-Bride-inspiration guilt. I am totally glad that Melissa decided to embrace what she loves and utilize all of the resources available. Including us! Craziness ensued when I checked out what you all submitted to the Flickr Pool and the Offbeat Bride Pinterest account. Daleks, watermelon hedgehogs, flaming bananas, and a cute little vow gag. It's always awesome to see what everyone is up to in in montage form.

After a little snafu keeping their venue, this pair rocked the beach with their monster movie details, lush dessert buffet, and vows written by the wedding party. Plus, the groom had an additional challenge when removing the garter: the bride's cowboy boot-shaped rain boots!

These nature-loving Pagans were handfasted years ago, but they knew it was time to get it recognized. With archery influences and an amazing knitted bouquet, buttonholes, and even the cake topper, this wedding is a sight to see. Side note: hiring a photographer might have been the best move they made based on these gorgeous park shots.

Guys, I'm not the least bit embarrassed about how much I really love writing about Little Things Favors. You can get practically ANYTHING you want for your wedding over there. Allow me to show you a few of my favorites little things (see what I did there?)…

The Offbeat Flickr Pool was sporting some icy drinking, fire dancing, and all things cute and sweet. It was quite the contrary mix of photos. Check out the dinosaur luges, ball and chains, and paper flower explosions in this week's Monday Montage.
