Peep Toe Flat with BowAnother week for me to geek out on wedding shoes!

Last week, I heard from several readers who were like, "Yeah sure cute — but what about those of us who want to wear flats?" While I make a point to include flats in every batch of shoes I feature, as someone who can't walk in a heel over 2 inches, I got nothing but love for the ladies who want to rock the flats on their wedding day.

And so, without further ado, here's my collection of lovely low wedding flats that will make you feel 10 feet tall:

Cork Tattoo Wedge PumpOoh, it's time for another edition of Foot Fetish, where-in I inflict my questionably loud taste in special occasion footwear uponst my willing offbeat victims!

This week, I'm focusing on veggie-friendly heels. From as best as I can tell, all these shoes are all made with non-animal products — most of them are rubber, synthetic, or satin uppers with man-made soles and insoles. The advantage of man-made materials? Yes they're nicer to our animal friends, but they're often also cheaper than leather. The disadvantage? Sometimes quality ain't forever-wear awesome — but that's the joy of wedding shoes: hopefully you only need to wear 'em once!

So, without further ado, let's dive into some crazy/fabulous cruelty-free wedding footwear. As always, click on the shoe picture to view more information, as you imagine these fabulous-but-animal-friendly beauties peeking out from under the hem of your wedding dress:

In keeping with the season, it's time for our weekly Offbeat Halloween wedding!

Location & date of wedding: Holiday Inn Select, Trevose, PA — October 31, 2008

What made our wedding offbeat: We tried to make the day about the two of us, our love, and Halloween all at the same time.

We got married in a hotel, had pumpkin place cards, black and white everything. We had a life size motion activated skeleton bride and groom. We were introduced to the song, "Crazy Bitch." We had a shoe cake cutter and skelton bride and groom cake topper and I wore neon blue high heels.

Today I'm launching a new feature on Offbeat Bride, dedicated to all things superficial and shoe-whorish. This is basically just my excuse to geek out on shoes that I have no excuse to wear.

Be forewarned: I like my shoes loud. My favorite shoes are John Fluevogs, which tells you everything you need to know.

I'm kicking off the new feature with a few of my favorite blue wedding shoes. Bright blue shoes can add a snarl of HEY NOW! when seen peeking out from underneath a white gown — and if you're going balls-out and coordinating with a blue wedding dress or colored crinoline? LOOK OUT, MAMACITA!

And so, without further ado, let's dork out on some blue shoes together, yes? To learn more about a given pair of shoes, just click on 'em below:

What made our wedding offbeat: We decided to keep our wedding small, personal, and inexpensive and save some money for a really nice honeymoon in Spain (since we were paying for it ourselves and wanted a short engagement of five months). We picked an offbeat cafe/bar/restaurant in our beloved downtown neighborhood that reflected our personalities, and provided great food in a casual atmosphere.
