It was followed by an amazing family-style dinner in the woods. One interesting tidbit was that it was the first "wedding" in Portland of its kind. They had a weed bar complete with "budtender"! While this isn't for everyone's wedding (hell, it's not even legal in most states!), having a budtender to keep things legal and controlled can be your ticket to an awesome and legal weed bar at your wedding. John and Whitney had to make sure there was only a budtender and no bartender since, in Oregon, you can't serve both alcohol and marijuana at the same event. John said, "We made sure we were legal. We know the limit is eight ounces so we had small amounts of 13 varieties with a budtender controlling consumption." You said they couldn't serve alcohol, but that is definitely a bar menu… Reply I believe they were served at separate times. Reply I think people are also confused about it because one of the guests has a wine glass next to the two men lighting up & a guy in the background has a whiskey glass or whatever you call those Reply Were guests told about the budtender ahead of time ? Because if I was invited & got surprised by that, I'd have to quietly & politely duck out before the reception; I don't like the smell of weed myself Reply Maybe save the weed for the after-party with a few select friends instead of during the reception… Reply Join the conversation Cancel ReplyYour email address will not be published.
