Weddings are all fun and games — until someone gets sunburned or bitten by a rogue batch of mosquitoes. Then they're more itchy and scratchy than fun and games. That's why we especially love this "relief station" from Lauren and Ben's Lord of the Rings wedding.

In order to make sure your unprepared guests don't go home bug-bitten and sunburned, set out a basket with sunblock, bug spray, and baby wipes.

For even more emergency kit ideas, check out the wedding day items that could save your ass.

  1. I'm doing little "packages" for our guests with bug spray, sunscreen, and bottled water, along with program fans. If we can afford it, we might also offer parasols (but they are seriously shockingly pricey to buy in bulk). Late June wedding brides, unite!

  2. We did this at my wedding. A word of advice to other Australian brides having an outdoors reception: bug spray won't be enough, get some fly repellent candles for the tables!
