Capture what photos can’t: Track your heart rates on your wedding day

Guest post by meddi
What if you tracked your heart rate on your wedding day!?

Photography is great at capturing the look of the day, but there's so much more going on than the polished final photos show. The camera didn’t capture the mad rush around the house looking for the wedding rings that the flower girl “just wanted to look at,” or the pure exhaustion of standing in the sun on a 40+ degree day and smiling for the millionth time.

I was talking about this with my brother and he sent me this link, and I thought it was a really cute, geeky idea that some of you guys might also get a kick out of.

Basically, a guy wore a heart rate monitor while he proposed, and you can see him getting himself psyched up to propose, actually propose, and then calm right down after it is all done with.

My guy and I have most of the kit to do this and, under our wedding clothes, I don’t think we would even notice a heart rate band. It might be fun watching our heart rates climb as we wait to see each other, capture the lull over dinner, and see us get our groove on on the dance floor.

  1. What a cool idea!! I’d love to see a special moment’s ‘heartbeat’ made into some kind of art for a couple’s home
