I love this Reply So badass and yet … so classy at the same time. Such an amazing balance. Reply je t'adore!!! my hair is funky/razor/pixie-ish & i have fallen in love with the idea of wearing a faux flower w/a mini birdcage veil, however i was unsure of how it would turn out. you have given me major confidence in being able to pull the look off b/c you look ravishing!! kudos, my dear. Reply Thanks so much, you guys!! Esp. to the girls who said badass 😀 totally going for the tough/pretty thing. @Coco: I'm sure you could absolutely pull it off, and yes, there is light pink in my hair. It was white with purple tips, but it faded into pink! Reply ROCK ON. I contemplated a 'hawk, but my baby-fine-hair plus June-in-Austin-humidity made it a no go. SO JEALOUS! (all caps totally a necessity there.) Reply Way to go, Avalon! You are so beautiful! I can hardly wait for the wedding! Reply @JR: Me neither! Having you as our photographer makes it even more exciting 🙂 Reply OMG, love! (Dress is gorgeous too!) I think my hair probably was too thick & wavy for this to have worked even when it was that short, but it looks PERFECT on you. =) Reply love this! it looks amazing on you. sadly, i learned in high school how hard it is to be punk rock when your hair is mega-curly…. *sigh* Reply I love this whole look. It totally looks like really tough runway hair. I can't wait to see pictures of the event! Reply *dropped jaw* AMAZING! What's great, is that your hair looks really soft, despite what i can only imagine must have been oodles of hairspray/gel… it's like cotton candy… mmm and where'd you get your hair flower? it's so preeeeetty! Reply also, you have the cutest nose ever! now i will stop ogling your pictures… Reply Tres awesome, Avalon! You look like a queen! Reply Oh, how quickly people forget! Punk girls wore this kind of hair when I was in high school. She looks like Aimee Mann circa 1988–which is not, by any means, a bad thing. Reply Gorgeous – you look hot!! Love the dashes of pink 🙂 Reply I said it on the OBBT but I'll say it again…I might be in love with your head. hahaha. So awesome, so rocker chic. Reply @Liset: Aww, thanks so much 🙂 It's really all Rachel (my stylist)'s work! The hair flower/fascinator is from etsy seller cierramontes, who, btw, is so incredibly nice to work with, it's ridiculous 🙂 I don't think I've ever dealt with anyone on etsy who wasn't. http://www.etsy.com/shop/cierramontes Reply So awesome! I love how light it still looks, unlike many fauxhawks. Love the whole outfit too, rock on! Reply This totally made my day yesterday. You look amazing! You have inspired me! It looks so good! (totally bad ass! totally!) If my dress were different I would be doing this. Instead one of my BMs is willing to do something like this for me for our rehearsal. Mwha-ha-ha! Thank you! You rock! YAY Reply wow i absolutely love this. i'm not getting married until april 2012 (18 year engagment) and was trying hard how to describe the look i want. i want a kind of dishevelled fairy / victorian underworld theme. look forward to seeing your pics!! Reply That describes it far better than I was capable of :)You got it! Reply You know, I've seen the post with the dress, and the post with the hair, and I really liked both. But the two together….*swoons*. I'm sure her hub will too! Reply wow Avalon, you're beautiful. And that hair! Awesome. 😀 Reply I LOVE it! My fiancee has a mohawk and I love it too! Reply This is the BEST thing I have EVER seen! Reply I was looking at your wedding pics and they are amazing. I'm getting married on Halloween and I was just curious, since i'm really pale, what makeup do you use? I can't seem to fine anything pale enough for me.
