Ink, roses, & tequila shots at this dark & romantic spring wedding at Lafitte Street Market #Real Weddings: Southern US#bearded groom#goth#long-haired groom#louisiana#spring#tattooed bride#tattooed groom Posted Jun 12 2019 Catherine Clark bijouxandbits Photos by: Aaryn Storms Photography Photos by Aaryn Storms Photography Gabrielle and Mark’s dark-spring romantic and gothic-inspired wedding day takes the saying “Until death do us part” to another level. Gabrielle began the day getting ready with her crew at Turning Point Tattoos, where Mark is a resident tattoo artist. While her mother is no longer with us, she was there in spirit through a treasured framed photograph that Gabrielle placed with her jewelry and her other bridal details to symbolize her presence. She also had her photos taken at Crosby Arboretum in Mississippi right before the wedding, which influenced their whole wedding aesthetic with an eccentric and industrial energy. Mark met Gabrielle under a eucalyptus and tulle altar at the Lafitte Street Market on the Mandeville Lakefront in Louisiana. This was where they held their ceremony and reception, and they took tequila shots along with their closest friends and family immediately after being pronounced married. Overtones of rich red and dark wood were featured, while light sprigs of greenery and baby’s breath balanced the vivid colors. This wedding was so full of thoughtful touches and unconventional DIY details.
