Looking at this wedding is like being transported into a 1950s-era South Seas movie set. From dapper-as-hell, perfectly cut suits (floral! metallic! bold colors! our hearts!), kitschy tchotchkes from their home, milk glass planters, vintage ceramic figurines, antique cameo brooches, there is so much to take in.

Anthony and Michael-Birch are two artists (musician and embroiderer), and took a surprisingly practical approach to their stylish wedding. They wanted to keep things simple, focusing on putting on a fun celebration but not breaking the bank or getting carried away with old traditions or extraneous decorations.

They booked the upstairs decks of Cuban restaurant Havana '59, where they had their first dinner out as a couple, and which provided inspiration for their theme. They matched the Havana decor with '50s vintage and tropical touches. Their vegan pie selection was served on a vast assortment of vintage cake plates.

They eschewed a wedding party, seating charts, cake cuttings, etc., which made the evening more simple and stress-free. The ceremony was a quick 10 minutes (complete with Anthony sneaking the lyrics of Bob's Burgers' ridiculous “Thanksgiving Song” into his vows) and then they drank and danced and ate good food all night. They, admittedly, went a little overboard with invitations and outfits. I'll let Michael-Birch explain:

I hand-screen printed each invitation on vintage embroidered handkerchiefs, tying them up with custom designed info cards, hand-written RSVP postcards, and a handful of sequins. The process was ridiculous but I think the outcome perfectly captured the feel of the day. Some of the guests even wore their invites as pocket squares. As a former fashion designer, I couldn't decide on one outfit and instead had three separate costumes. The first, a more simple burgundy, but with a handful of antique cameo brooches, the second bright green with cross stitched florals, and the third a glam rock gold foil. Anthony wore a suit from his family's business, Urban Set Groom, but changed it up with a new tie to match each of my outfits.

Are you ready to experience this wedding? You won't regret it…
