BLDG39 is a historic wedding venue with modern accents located in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Erected in 1917 during wartime, this property is tucked inside the stone confines of Frankford Arsenal. The space has been thoughtfully renovated to preserve the history that took place within its walls, offering couples a unique venue to create memories within.
To align with a couple's personal style and preferences, BLDG39 has been purposefully designed to be a blank canvas for all celebrations. The venue’s indoor event space consists of a 2,600-square-foot open floor plan. It features 30-foot high ceilings with exposed metal rafters, highlighting the building’s industrious past while tying it together with contemporary flair. The colorful mid-century modern furnishings, warm vintage light fixtures, and geometric mirrors create a dynamic atmosphere for any event. If you’d like to enjoy the open air, you can avail of the adjacent 1,000-square-foot outdoor area connected by a unique garage door. Before the festivities, you, your partner, and your wedding parties are welcome to prepare for the day in the venue’s get-ready suites.
How I cater to Offbeat Brides
BLDG39 is for the couple who thinks outside the box. Beyond being an event space, the building is home to a shared kitchen for local caterers and food trucks. The team at BLDG39 encourages couples to incorporate food trucks and unique stations from the culinary partners into their big day in addition to or in place of a traditional dinner for a delicious, fun, one-of-a-kind event.
Picture this: Your guests are wowed during cocktail hour by food trucks and other culinary partners serving award winning pierogi, bao buns, fried cheesesteak balls, wings, or authentic tacos in BLDG39’s indoor/outdoor space with the garage doors open before sitting down for dinner. With a community of culinary teams based within the property, the possibilities for a memorable reception meal are endless!
"Beautiful, smooth, well planned day! We were the first wedding at BLDG39 and despite being a little nervous about that everything went PERFECTLY. We did our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing at the venue. There were no issues (other than rain) but the team dealt with anything that came their way flawlessly. As the bride I never had to worry that something wasn't going well or that things weren't on schedule. The coordinator/our planner Lauren was responsive, organized, and thoughtful. The food was impeccable with Happy Hour Hospitality. We wouldn't have wanted our wedding to be any different - it was perfect here!"
