Funky instruments & muted flowers at this dark and eclectic inspiration shoot at an old Brooklyn theater #Wedding Porn#brooklyn#couples of color#natural hair#new york#new york city#styled shoot Updated Jul 10 2019 (Posted Jun 26 2018) Catherine Clark bijouxandbits Photos by: Carole Cohen Photography Photos by Carole Cohen Photography I love how this inspiration shoot combines the traditional with the ultra eclectic, which seems to really reflect what's happening in offbeat weddings right now. We're all about embracing traditions we feel resonate and tossing out what doesn't. The best part of this shoot for me was the venue: a dusty old theater in Red Hook, Brooklyn, called the Jalopy Theater. Think tons of funky instruments, dark and shadowy corners, and a wedding vibes that totally matches. Don't miss the minimal florals full of muted colors, the dark berry tones everywhere, and the gorgeous dresses featuring some killer details like lace sleeves and off-the-shoulder looks. PS: The theater was actually hosting a horror play that took place in a mental hospital, so they worked around a bunch of gurneys and rusty wheelchairs! Eclectic indeed.
