Find out how this zoo wedding convinced us to love "garbage plates"

"Garbage plates" (just wait and see!), animal print, a visiting polar bear at the ceremony, vibrant pink hair, "sloth" cupcakes, lipstick heels, and a dress with ultra chic black detailing — have we sucked you in yet? If not, just wait until you hear how this pair approached decision-making while planning. Inspiring, I swear!

Would you get married at a plantation? Or a castle? Or a prison? Or a cemetery?

We featured a Filipino/Persian wedding that was held on a lovely garden estate — that used to be a plantation. A commenter chimed in: "…not really sure if a Southern Plantation with slavery history is the ideal place for a wedding. A zoo wedding with handmade international details

Jennifer and Abdoulaye are truly an international couple: she hails from the States and he's from Guinea, and they met while working in Mali. A coup d'état in the country led to Jennifer moving back home, and their relationship blossomed thanks to Skype and long-distance phone calls. Once reunited in the US they quickly eloped, and hosted a wedding a few months later at the Virginia Zoo.
