A darkly chic wedding with karaoke and Mexican meets Korean food

Samantha and Michael lived in South Korea while planning their darkly chic wedding in Seattle. They rocks a self-officiated ceremony that was more of a performance than a ceremony itself. Michael played the piano, and the two of them quoted The Cure. But the most tantalizing part for me was their reception food. They blended both of their cultures by featuring Mexican and Korean-influenced dishes. YUM. Then it was all about killer karaoke and an after party under a moonlit sky.

A seriously delightful backyard wedding in Washington with Sister Unity officiating

Greg and Lee's backyard wedding in Vashon Island, Washington was truly a spectacle to behold. There was foliage on top of flowers on top of golden lights. There were crisp suits and winks and soft nudges. There were simply lovely cakes and sliders and golden roasted veggies. And there was their intimate ceremony officiated by Sister Unity of Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, which added a whole sparkle to an already glowing day.

Everything from their signature cocktails to the piano solo during their ceremony added to the warm feel of the day. You've got to see this enviable backyard wedding…

A black and gold kitties & karaoke wedding (with a cat "bouquet" and cat ears!)

We are not traditional people in the slightest, so we went with black and gold as our colors, and cats as our theme. I was bummed that we weren't able to bring our three kitties with us, so we made a large cardboard cutout of them so I could at least see them! Our favors were 'cat toys' that people waved as we left the ceremony. That was just the start of the fun. Don't miss the kitty ears on the bride and her amazing kitty "bouquet!"

Our jaws dropped when we saw this geek adventure wedding (on a budget!)

We had a geek adventure wedding theme, incorporating a few of our favorite things in every way we could (Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, The Elder Scrolls, Dungeons & Dragons, The Princess Bride, Game of Thrones, Firefly, New World Magischola, and more). We encouraged everyone to come in costume (and most did! With props!), and we made wands as favors, as well as rheoscopic fluid potion bottles, dragon eggs, and all of the food (from our fandoms).
