The adorable summer camp wedding that’ll make you say “awww” at least once!
Holy pink fluffy wonder cats! Get a peep at the latest Flickr pool uploads that have been tweaking out our brains in all sorts of fantastical ways. Not only did this wedding have the most “adorable” fashion — fluffy ombre skirt with a pink corset + a dude in a kilt!? — it also had pretty much everything one could want out of a wedding celebration. “Including fire?” you ask. Yes, including lots of fire…
Andrea & Steve’s laid-back Mario-themed budget wedding
Old skool Nintendo details abound in this bright and happy state park wedding. We’ve got a handmade Mario brick block card box, a Mario and Peach cake with baby mushroom cupcakes all around, and cactus favors which fit right into the theme. But it wasn’t all just gamer hijinks: sweet vows and a super meaningful ring made it all very romantic. Oh, and you’ll LOVE this pair’s unity ceremony!
Mara & Bill’s ultimate electronic geek wedding
You will totally geek out on this amazing LED and electroluminescent wire-covered wedding. Think centerpieces made from a 3D printer, a circuit ceremony involving a soldering iron, LED lights glowing from within their outfits, and even jewelry fashioned from circuit boards. These electrical engineers totally know their shit, and shared shocking skills with us.
Break the glass in a whole new way with a Prince Rupert’s Drop
Val and Galen’s science tendencies led them to a really interesting and symbolic unity ceremony. They created what’s called a Prince Rupert’s Drop. I’m sure some of you academics out there know what’s up with this, but I had to take to Wikipedia and Val’s description to see what the hell this was all about.
Jodi & Kim’s glow sticks and bling wedding
This wedding has an official “flower disbursement” and “ring security agents.” Basically, they mean business. On top of that, a dog walked down the aisle, a fish was memorialized, and glow sticks featured prominently in the unity ceremony. I think we’re in for some fun. Oh, and you have to read about the jaw-dropping encounter with their first videographer. It was NUTS.
Elizabeth & Joshua’s “spring in winter” orange grove wedding
Orange groves, bee details, and pastel hues: it’s the stuff of miracles when snow covers many of us. This wedding also boasts a fabulous handmade dress, potluck food (AND potluck performances!), a tree planting ceremony, and adorable wedding party fashion. So much sweetness, so little time.
