Two families become one at this intimate microwedding in Chicago

Dora and Joel were married in Chicago. They originally planned on getting married in Hawaii, but with one daughter about to leave for the military and another about to leave for college, they decided to move their wedding date up and do it in a new shmancy hotel in the Wicker Park neighborhood, The Robey Hotel.

They were married on the top floor with great views and a little rain. Thankfully, their brilliant smiles and Dora's gorgeous dress kept the day shining and lovely. Immerse yourself in this intimate microwedding that blended two families…

Do I need to invite someone's adult daughter to my intimate wedding?

My sister wants us to invite her boyfriend's adult daughter to our wedding, even though we've never met her. Her family already accounts for five invitations for her household already.

We have worked so hard to keep our wedding small and intimate and quite frankly don't want a stranger there. Are we being selfish?

This rad pop-up wedding had glitter, sequins, and huge rainbow mural LOVE

We wanted something small that fit us, but could also include our children and family. We didn't want to just run off to the courthouse. We wanted it to be simple and stress-free. We bounced ideas of locations back and forth. Maggie from Pop! Wed Co. suggested the "LOVE" mural at Blagden Alley. We were in DC for New Years so we checked it out and fell in love with it.
