Singing, succulents, and LEDs at this musical light-up wedding

Singing, succulents, and LEDs at this musical light-up wedding

Adina and Sean’s musical light-up wedding was a sight to see (that we wish we could have HEARD as well!). Adina is Jewish and Sean is Unitarian, so for the ceremony, they mixed and matched some elements of each. They also met in choir, so having their musical friends and family sing for and with them was a given. Their guests sang the wedding party down the aisle, with choir members providing harmony. A quartet of family and longtime friends sang a traditional blessing to them during the service. And Sean and his a capella group serenaded the bride at dinner. So much singing! So much awesome!

Don’t miss the succulent place cards/favors, light-up shoes, tie, and sequins, and rockstar-inspired wedding dress…

Prepare to squeal at the ARMORED corset dress at a medieval wedding

Squeal at the ARMORED corset dress at this fantasy RPG-themed wedding

The armored corset dress (that I’m on a quest to buy), the silver filigree crown, the groom’s cloak and bandolier, the Moroccan glass star-shaped lanterns for the bridesmaids… I just CAN’T with this wedding. It’s the medieval garb wedding of my fantasy-driven heart. And that’s saying a lot. You just have to see this gorgeous pair and their amazingly dressed guests at this fantasy RPG-themed wedding.

Barefoot Hobbit-themed wedding

The Arkenstone of weddings: a barefoot Hobbit-themed wedding

When it comes to Lord of the Rings weddings, this barefoot Hobbit-themed wedding wins all the Arkenstones. Lanterns, elven bridesmaids, a crown headpiece, hobbit groomsmen (and groom!), and even a dwarf! Gandalf the Grey presided over the ceremony and they ate Hobbit hole cake. There’s so much Tolkien goodness to see, on top of the already amazing silver dress, purple hair, and epic costumes. This pair won’t be throwing their rings into Mount Doom anytime soon.

Art meets science at a wonderfully weird wedding

Art meets science at a wonderfully weird New York gallery wedding

Lauren and Kyle are two wonderfully weird creatures from outer space who are super in love with each other (also Earth-bound visual artists and programmers whose art mixes light work, electronics and sound, while exploring human’s interactions). Lauren’s “Conversacube” (a device she created that offers random words to ease strangers into a conversation) were installed on every table at the reception, and Kyle’s magnificent light installation lit the whole room all night.

Maryska & Chris’ lanterns, lights, and top hats wedding

Fairy lights, lanterns instead of bouquets, and a shimmery platinum handmade gown to rival any on the red carpet — this wedding seriously glows. Plus, the pair’s geeky sides came out with some Tolkien and Firefly details to keep things fun. But fun wasn’t in short supply with the bride’s funny ceremony snafu and their first dance collision!
