Terrence and I eloped alone at the base of a waterfall in Costa Rica on our ten-year anniversary. We spent two weeks traveling the coast and rain forest of Costa Rica and spent our wedding budget volunteering with animal rescues (sloths and monkeys galore! We love animals), riding horses, bikes, and ATVs, booze cruising, beaching, and hiking. We even made our own chocolate in the rain forest.

If I had to put a label on it, I would call our wedding a "Gothic Midsummer Night's Dream." We made sure to include a ton of natural and rustic elements like crystals, logs, animal bones, and balanced those raw materials with dark elegant pieces to get that "we just magically threw together a fancy party in the woods" vibe. A queer femme/transfeminine interfaith feminist celeGAYtion
It was important to both of us to represent both of our faith traditions, and to incorporate our vibrant, polyamorous, queer, trans communities as much as possible. My partner is a bearded, genderqueer, transfeminine person, and it was really important to us to be visible and proud about our relationship because so many people think that people like us can't (or don't deserve) to find love and happiness. Caleb rocked a gorgeous wine-colored wedding dress, while I went with a more traditional white gown, and we did our damndest to show the world that love like this will not be hidden.
A fall-themed wedding celebration with a stunning red dress
Susie and Jordan planned a casual reception with a cocktail party vibe to celebrate their marriage with family and friends. It was such a tight-knit group that every single person they invited was in attendance! They were married in a private ceremony with their parents a few days prior to their celebration, so they were focused on having everyone they love in the same place for a ton of fun. It was a seriously lovely fall-themed wedding.
