Emma & Brian’s geeky rainy love fest wedding
This wedding is such a testament to budget weddings and their ability to be completely awesome without lots of bells and whistles. But three things they definitely found room for were their three geek-tastic cakes: Star Wars, Star Trek, and Doctor Who. You’ll also never guess how one of the bride’s brothers found a way to be present without actually being able to attend. Plus, we dare you to find ALL the geeky and bookish references in their epic, communal ceremony reading. So many references!
Emily & Mitchell’s rainy steampunk geodesic dome wedding
Put on your goggles and your neo-Victorian gear, because this is STEAMPUNK WEEK! Today we’ve got a purple and bronze steamy bonanza with a geodesic dome ceremony, a ketubah/parking problem (what?!), and some adorable vows you don’t want to miss. Just watch out for the spoilsport rain!
Stacie & Kevin’s soulful karaoke wedding
The rain may have threatened this outdoor wedding, but it couldn’t dampen the spirits of these two. The keg and karaoke party must go on! Add in a casual vibe, a fun after-party, some R. Kelly karaoke, and what looks to have been the most fun wedding party photo session ever, and you’re in for lots of smiles.
Love triumphs over stormy weather and a reception blackout
Leah and Heather were married on June 7th at Triumph Brewing Company in New Hope, PA, where the pair had one of their first dates and countless date nights after. Leah designed the place cards, table numbers, her bouquet, Heather’s boutonniere, and the CD favors. But the best silver lining moment came when the intense storm going on caused a blackout at the reception!
Let’s drool over some umbrellas
In celebration of autumn weddings, which may or may not include a bit more rain than your average wedding, today I want to round up some of my very favorite umbrellas. Rainbow umbrellas, peaked umbrellas, heart-shaped umbrellas, ruffled vintaged-styled umbrellas, polkadot umbrellas? ALL AWAIT YOU…
Angelina & Bobby’s rainy Parkour wedding
You know about Parkour, right? These two met doing it, fell in love, and totally integrated their mutual hobby into a homemade obstacle course to the altar! We’re talking vaulting blocks, cat leaps, and eight-foot blocks. Is there any better analogy for the trials of marriage and life? I’m thinking these two are pretty damned prepared for it. Oh, and do not miss the Parkour cake!
