Are you up for an elegant industrial goth fix? Today is your day. Ashley and Paddy ooze delicious and colorful gothic energy in their ’til death do us part-themed wedding in Newfoundland. We got to see how these style mavens put it all together: think bright dreads + mohawk, black Utilikilts, combat boots, and even some little peacock feather accents, all layered on a purple and blue backdrop.
We love us some dudes in makeup. Give us eyeliner and a little contouring any day. Reader Kirstin wanted to see some examples for makeup-wearing guys and we obliged. Gabby and Josh found common ground in their fashion choices and expressed their love of punk culture with these epic red mohawks. They had made a pact when they were dating that when they got married, red mohawks were a must, so nobody could dissuade them.
Martha is the designer behind our sponsor Blue Tulip Designs and she loves to make unique invitations for Offbeat Brides. Her invites are too DIE for — seriously, Blue Tulip makes dark gothy dead things look so, well, wedding-y! Wait until you see the most morbidly gorgeous Save the Dates ever.
The backdrop to this gothic punk wedding is certainly not the norm. Picture a craggy sea, 1000-foot drop, and whales hitting the surface. The combination of the elegant corsetry, skull details, and seaside winery setting had me at “hello.”
