Scott and Dennis are very much into gardening and spend a lot of their time in their front yard making it look awesome. Fittingly, they had a small, casual, summery, garden backyard wedding at a close friend’s home in a quiet neighborhood. It was a hot Florida day, but the real heat was coming from all the killer moves on the dance floor. Let’s check out this sweet and raucous backyard wedding.
If you didn’t already know it, you NEED a flamingo-themed wedding in your life. You need these flamingo cake pops, tiki straws, drink skewers, pool floats, gold-painted flamingo lawn ornaments, a “grand reveal” with big gold letter balloons , and a flowing pink dress. Could it be more flamboyantly perfect? (A group of flamingos is called a “flamboyance” — get it?)
We love when a wedding just looks like a rocking party. And this style of inviting yourself to party with the couple for a week totally works in my book! Get ready for a casual pool party in a countryside location in the heat of a Spanish summer with the whole family. Don’t miss the music switcheroo for the impromptu first dance. Hint: European football fans may get the joke!
An backyard engagement pool party becomes a surprise wedding complete with the couple quite literally taking the plunge after they got married! Some friends may have had to pick their jaws up off the floor, but it was a wild surprise wedding ride that made for a low budget, high fun day.
one of our amazing and talented vendors, Laura of [vendor-heart link="http://vendors.offbeatbride.com/listing/rebel-belle-weddings"]Rebel Belle Weddings[/vendor-heart] sent us this heart-stopping seafoam circus wedding from none other than actor, comedian, producer, writer, singer, dancer, candlestick-maker Dick Van Dyke and his bride, Arlene Silver-Van Dyke. With our Empire-wide love of all things octopus (and oooh-shiny things in general), we were basically this, followed closely by this. Prepare yourself for contortionists, jugglers, a circus barker (with giant tentacle hat, natch), gobs of feathers, hula hoops, faux dancing bears, electric jellyfish, an epic first duet, and the cutest darn couple this side of unda da sea!
Tribesmaid Southaustinista and her groom show off their Star Trek rings (and smooching abilities!). It was a fabulously nerd-tastic start to the week with reader submissions from the Tribe, the Offbeat Flickr Pool, and Pinterest.
