Mardi Gras meets Chicago at this stunning donuts and dogs wedding

Rescue dogs and donuts! Our wedding had modern and vintage touches but no clear "theme" other than Our Favorite Things. Rescue dogs, donuts, pizza, New Orleans, Chicago, and each other. We wanted our wedding to "feel like us" and it sure did. Our dog is a rescue and I am on the board of a local rescue, so we had lots of references to the dog and organization throughout the day, from the sweatshirts the girls got ready in to our specialty cocktail. We're a modern couple of blended religious backgrounds so we decided our wedding was the perfect event to set the tone for a life of unapologetic joy.

Morena and Fabio were married at Masseria Bonelli in Noci, Italy in a warm, magical, sun-lit Italian wedding. You have to see her pink vintage-inspired dress and matching hat, their luscious fruit-covered cake, their sweet bow-tied pooch, and the dried flowers and rustic touches everywhere.

They had a ton of DIY elements to their creative mountain wedding. Jenny made both her dress AND Jon's suit. She also made their wedding pie! Do not miss the hot pink and black floral dress, the chic and simple details, and the gorgeous pie display…
