We are swooning over every inch of this purple wedding theme, from the subtle wedding dress to that purple wedding bouquet to the Amazon wedding suit. We don’t see a lot of floral shoulder corsages but after this shoot, we demand more!
This stunning retro wedding inspiration at 28 Event Space in Kansas City was inspired by planning a fab wedding on a more modest budget. Polaroids as favors, sweet and simple retro-inspired decor, a focus on delicious desserts — it can all be done without having a huge budget.
Don’t miss the red lips with matching flowers, loving gazes, cocktail-length dress, the fancy vintage car, and all the fairy lights you could want…
Leslie and Cassidy both attended Rockhurst University in Kansas City but didn’t meet until years into their programs while both attending a mission trip in the Caribbean. They both love breweries and Kansas City, so even though they now live in St. Louis, they wanted to have their engagement session in the city close to their hearts. They canoodled and nuzzled their way through the beautiful Kauffman Center in Kansas City and we can’t get enough…
The theming was a bit all over the board but it came together swimmingly. The look was super vintage starlet, the venue decorations leaned to a glam nature look but set in an industrial (literally a converted warehouse) art gallery/studios, which already had art on the walls and string lights which made decorating a breeze.
My husband was born and raised in Columbia, MO, so the idea of having the wedding downtown was something he was very invested in. Our rehearsal dinner was at a locally (state-wide probably) famous pizza place where we spent many late nights in college playing D&D and Munchkin.
Peggy and Shawn had a colorful, retro wedding in Kansas City, MO with so many stunning details I didn’t know where to begin. But hey, let’s start with that amazing, minty blue dress! Oh, and their dog Pearl was the ring bearer, the reception had karaoke, dinosaurs, and records, and a family-centric cake topped with a VW!
You’ll be scouring the photos for more of their nerdy and awesome details so get to browsing…
Alison and Albert are all about adventure, sports, creative DIY, and making us fall in love with their gorgeous and rustic campfire wedding. There was a little bit of cowboy chic, a lot of s’mores, a seriously lovely ceremony backdrop, handmade florals, and an amazing campfire ending with log seating.
Albert gave Alison a bow and arrow as a wedding gift and taught her how to use it at the reception! It’s one drop-dead gorgeous day that you won’t want to miss. Oh, and don’t miss the tiny shout-out to their pets on the program!
