Travel back to the future after seeing this bitchin' 1980s-themed wedding

Ashley and Wendy had a 1980s-themed wedding to end all retro weddings. We're talking cassette tape centerpieces, boom boxes, hair band photos (with lyrics!), retro-fabulous '80s wear, and major dance floor shenanigans. If we could channel the soundtrack to this wedding, I think we'd be rocking out HARD. These ladies love the eighties and we love them.

Are you ready to take a Delorean back in time to 1985 where clearly this wedding took place?

Camp Evermore: an ethereal autumnal wedding adventure

From our initial planning, we had two big goals: a FUN wedding that demonstrated that LOVE is Love. We're from the Midwest and queer weddings are not the norm for our families, but we knew we wanted to plan an experience that was memorable and also helped normalize the beauty of all love. These two goals guided every detail of our autumnal wedding adventure planning.

An Autumn witch lesbian wedding with tarot, tattoos, and beer

As practicing pagans, we also incorporated many elements of our spirituality, such as tarot readers at the reception and a Samhain memorial altar. Harry Potter has been interwoven into our relationship for 20 years, so we had subtle hints of our love for the series in our decor (side note: we got engaged at and shot our engagement photos at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter). We made our reception personal by including all the things we love: coffee, beer, tattoos, and tarot!

Fall in love with these women at their Chilean engagement shoot at La Vega Central Market

Camila is a makeup artist and Pilar is a visual artist who live in Santiago, Chile. Their Chilean engagement shoot was seriously destined to be an exercise in creativity, light, and contrasts. When they got engaged, they wanted to celebrate with gorgeous photos in chic outfits among the bustle of the La Vega Central Market in Santiago. When I saw it? Fireworks, y'all. The suspenders, the hairstyles, and the gritty meets colorful meets slick backdrop made my day. I'm sure it will make yours, too.
