Rachael & Chris’ whimsical tea party wedding
Get your tea cups out, folks, we have an Alice theme going on! A fluffy blue dress, mix-your-own Italian soda bar, lawn games (with croquet, natch!), a goooorgeous garden, and a big ol’ top hat brings it all together. Oh, and there’s some keen advice on leaving your guests to their own devices when mixing up drinks. It can go awry.
A sunny picnic wedding with lawn games and love
[vendor-heart link="http://vendors.offbeatwed.com/listing/carly-bish-photography"]Carly Bish[/vendor-heart] sent over this stunning, sun-soaked picnic wedding and we ate it up. But when we found out that it was held at her childhood home, we knew it was really special to her. See, Carly’s brother married Kristin. Kristin’s sister, Chaitra (the bride), met and married one of Carly’s brother’s best friends since childhood, Ryan (the groom). So their meeting (and loving) was inevitable. Sweet story aside, let’s get on to the deets: lots of DIY decor, handmade fascinators, picnic blankets as reception tables, lawn games, ribbon wands (perfect for the nearby kitteh)… it’s your own virtual vacation.
Casual carnival madness and an interactive ring warming
Meg and Carrie hosted a casual carnival-themed wedding in Meg’s parent’s backyard in New Hampshire, proving that backyard weddings can be kick-ass for budget and scenery. (Seriously, the greenery is making me long for warmer weather!) Plus, they put a really fun spin on a ring warming ceremony by making it “interactive.” Read on to see how they did it.
This arden party wedding had stepmom vows
This pair had a strange introduction, but it ended up being something pretty magical in the end. And it all led to this day full of garden party awesomeness, sweet vows to a new step-daughter (with matching custom necklaces!), and a genius way for introverts to avoid a receiving line! Oh, and get ready to LOL at the groom’s steamer incident (photo included).
‘Stina & Graham’s DIY country ranch wedding
This pair tackled tons of DIY projects, battled some very inconsistent weather, and had to cater a party in the middle of the country. But you’d never know these were even challenges when you see the awesome Mexican catering, the cool ambiance (event producer groom FTW!), and the lovely weather. These photos give off one theme more than any other: FUN.
Kelsea & Henry’s Northwest garden party wedding
These free spirits wanted to show off their beloved Northwest scenery and atmosphere. They decided that Whidbey Island would be the perfect locale since both families have connections to the area and it’s where the groom proposed! With some greek food, lawn games, tons of community support, and a sweet pre-ceremony ring warming, this wedding is bound to pull some heartstrings.
