Erin & Ryan’s Northern Ireland roadtrip and homespun Appalachian handfasting

This pair likes to take the old proverb “you can’t have your cake and eat it, too” as both a personal challenge and an individual goal. Therefore, when they were planning their wedding and couldn’t decide between two drastically different affairs (a free-spirited private destination wedding adventure versus an intricately detailed small community backyard handfasting), they decided to have them both! Prepare for gorgeous scenery and naughty favors ahead!

Sheyne & Glenn’s scientific Victorian steampunk octopus wedding

We already snuck a peek at this couple’s fabulous octopus cake, and now we’re getting the full scoop! We’re talking steampunk details, custom corset loveliness, and a ROBOT RING BEARER made by a certain Mythbuster pal of theirs. Just watch your eyebrows around the flamethrower…

Anais & Ira’s low-key handmade crafty wedding

One way to bond over the wedding is to get everyone and their mother involved in the tiny details. With paper and knitted flowers, an all-vegan-plus-pork menu, and lots of woodsy and crafty details, you know a lot of heart (and probably sweat) went into this wedding. Oh, and don’t forget to pour one out for the missing home-brewed beer that could have been.

Ashley & Josh’s home-brewed prison wedding with a rap video

This bride goes gaga for DIY projects, and the biggest problem was reining them in! One of the best projects was the bride’s rap video gift to the groom. You have to see it to believe it. Other killer details included the dance into the ceremony, the abundant coffee filter flowers, and the cutie-pie vows worth stealing. But be warned: good luck getting through their favorite moment. Tissues will be required.

Celebrate your beer-brewing love in your unity ceremony

SarahKat & Ryan brew their own beer, so adding this hobby into their ceremony was perfect. Here’s how they incorporated the process and ingredients into their ceremony.

Emily & Jordan’s fly-fishing and cookies English teacher wedding

We were entranced by this bride’s cookie bouquet and demanded to see MOAR! Thankfully, she obliged and gave us this amazing mountainside budget wedding with little touches of fly-fishing, homebrew, eco-friendly details, and even a fingerprint fish!
