A gorgeous wedding in India with so many outfit changes and decor that will blow your mind

A colorful Indian wedding with so many outfit changes and decor that will blow your mind

Set against the backdrop of lush green hills in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India, Saurabh and Sridevi’s colorful wedding was nothing short of a fantastical affair. Both Sri and Sau come from a fashion background and rocked it with their color-coordinated looks, origami, kettles, flowers in glass buckets, and quirky signboard. This was a fun-filled colorful Indian wedding with so many stealable ideas.

When Hinduism and Taiwanese wedding traditions combine: a multicultural wedding day

Helen and Deepak hail from Chicago but traveled down to Port Orange, Florida, to get married at The Estate on the Halifax. The multicultural pair intertwined Hindu wedding traditions with Taiwanese influences and owned it — the day included a lot of awesome details, like the fan-turned-wedding program and mismatched red bridesmaids dresses. Twinkle lights lined each corner of the reception hall, and the party moved indoors to enjoy a fruit-heavy dessert table (no cake!) and tons of dancing.

A vintage-inspired California farm wedding with jasmine, goats, and a coral dress

Abra and Jeff got hitched at Roshambo Farms, aka sun-drenched barnyard heaven — complete with chickens, turkeys, and goats. In the months leading up to the wedding, the bride’s mother amassed a collection of vintage silk and cotton lace, and Abra’s childhood friend used the pieces to fashion her dusty coral wedding gown. Guests also gifted the couple handwritten blessings (to be opened on the denoted anniversary).

A wild and bright DIY circus-themed Canadian wedding complete with streamers and ice cream

Shai and Crystal win at planning: they pulled off their backyard circus-themed wedding in under a month! Family and friends pitched in by building everything from the red-and-white striped tent to the colorful balloon arch. A parade of feathers, bubbles, and a tiny clown ring bearer led Crystal up the polka dot aisle, and guests tossed streamers into the air at the ceremony’s conclusion. These two opted to use the time immediately following the ceremony to snag ice cream and take photos at a baseball park. The night was rounded out with Indian food and barbecue, followed by tie-dyed cupcakes and a skeleton-topped cake.

Bridal henna, gold paper cranes, and fortune cookies: a glamorous Indian-Chinese wedding

From bridal henna to stunning golden cranes, Suni and Chris mastered the art of blending their cultures for their Houston wedding earlier this year. With the help of event designer Events By Momo, the two created a dreamy landscape to wed in — including incorporating fluffy white clouds, white bridesmaids dresses, and a hanging seating chart made from paper, twine, and twigs.

Combine traditions and interests with a Henna & Halo party

The night before our interfaith wedding, we had a big party. My partner Shreyas’ mom wanted to have a henna party, where all the women get mehendi, but she wanted to have the guys come, too. Shreyas objected, saying mehendi was a “girl thing” and didn’t want to do it. We compromised by having a manly activity too, and thus the Henna & Halo party was born.
