Be swept away by this nature-loving secret elopement in Annapolis

For us this day was a LONG time in the making. Rob and I have had a crazy, fun, and caring relationship from the very beginning and of course our wedding had those same traits. With both of us having chronic/incurable diseases, it has helped put a focus on living in the moment and loving each other with that same intensity. Every day being a battle with our bodies and what could come, we knew that we wanted to be in each other’s lives for good, so why not just make it official?

Ottenpaloosa: a joyful & colorful music festival wedding

Our wedding was a big, fun, love fest! My husband and I chose to do a music festival theme, because we met at Wakarusa, a music festival in the Ozark mountains. We wanted to be surrounded by nature on our wedding day, so our wedding was held at the beautiful Wildwood Park for the Arts. I am an art teacher, so I wanted our wedding to be an explosion of color. Each of my bridesmaids wore a different tertiary color on the color wheel. We also incorporated as much color as we could by using colorful tapestries on the tables and by hanging rainbow ribbons in the trees.

A vintage autumn fairytale wedding (with a bit of parkour!)

The main theme was surrounding the fairytale idea. We got married in a castle, so even though I'm not super into princesses or fairy tales, it all just fit together. I also wanted it to feel like a real fall wedding, since fall is my favorite season. It was a little tough since the only season you really notice in Texas is summer! We centered our color palette around autumn tones so that people would just walk in and know that this was a fall-themed wedding.

Don't miss the black gown and ski lift ride at this crisp winter elopement

Brynn and Stephen traveled from Houston, TX to Winter Park, CO to elope on a mountaintop. It was about 15 degrees on the top of the mountain and windy! But it was clear that they were feeling no pain in the frigid temps based on their laughs. They had an intimate ceremony overlooking the mountains after a ride up on the ski lift. After they made it official, they ran inside to warm up and cut some cake. Just wait until you see Brynn's amazing black gown and Stephen's cowboy details…
