Grab a tissue: this LGBT Disneyland engagement with a story needs it

Ohana Photographers' David got to shoot the Disneyland engagement session of his own daughter, April, and her partner Mariah. This is awesome and magical in itself, but he also wrote a pretty rad manifesto about it here. I couldn't stop myself from stealing two little excerpts for you guys to enjoy, too. So read, grab a tissue, and then get to enjoying the sweet Disney-fied engagement of these two ladies.

Someday our Disney princess bridesmaids will come…

I spied this collection of super adorable, super affordable, and amazingly Disney-inspired outfits over at one of my fave shopping haunts, Unique Vintage. It's appropriately named The Happiest Collection on Earth. In addition to being amazing bride fashion fodder, it just screamed Disney princess bridesmaids!

Green sparkly Tinkerbell shoes, no big deal

Oh gosh, what have we here? Could these be green sparkly Tinkerbell shoes with white pom poms on the toes, and little green sparkly wings on the back? WHY YES, THEY MIGHT BE EXACTLY THAT.

Look, these are not the shoes for every bride. They're not even the shoes for most Offbeat Brides. How could I not share them though, knowing that somewhere out there, in the 0.001% of Offbeat Bride readers, there is some Disney bride who is like "All I've ever wanted is to get married in a pair of sparkly green Tinkerbell heels"!?

This pair knew eloping to Disneyland for Dapper Day was the magic idea

Steph and Shelby had watched a really beautiful elopement video a few years prior to getting engaged and had it in their heads since it was so intimate. When they actually got engaged, however, so many people were excited and asking about it that they completely froze on what to do. One day after a year or so into their engagement, Steph finally suggested eloping to Disneyland in California for Dapper Day. And it was set: a tiny ceremony and mini honeymoon in the most magical place on Earth.
