A majestic Irish castle wedding with death metal & sword-bearing protectors

We both love castles and Irish history, and Craig wanted to have a death metal band play, so we found somewhere where that was possible, and arranged everything around that. We didn’t have a specific theme, but the castle definitely inspired some elements of our wedding. We decided to include our two swords in the day as there is a Viking tradition to exchange swords at your wedding as a promise to protect each other.

An intimate, ultraviolet Austrian wedding with bits of Scotland

Karin and Helge love Scotland and have spent several vacations there. So they decided to instill some of what they love into their ultraviolet dress and kilt, velvet shoes covered in embroidery (illustrating their last name!), and a horse-drawn carriage to transport all their guests. My favorite part? The bouquet was split into three parts and given to the three witnesses of the ceremony.

A vintage autumn fairytale wedding (with a bit of parkour!)

The main theme was surrounding the fairytale idea. We got married in a castle, so even though I'm not super into princesses or fairy tales, it all just fit together. I also wanted it to feel like a real fall wedding, since fall is my favorite season. It was a little tough since the only season you really notice in Texas is summer! We centered our color palette around autumn tones so that people would just walk in and know that this was a fall-themed wedding.

A castle, a snowboarding bride, and a punk rock wedding on the slopes

Madison and Aaron had a winter wedding filled with pink leggings, a snowboarding bride, a rowdy group of howling groomsmen, and loud punk music filling the air. Instead of walking down the aisle, Madison snowboarded through it! After a few photos on the ice caved shore of Lake Michigan, the crew headed to their castle reception(!) where the partying began in earnest. Later in the night, the party shifted to a punk rock celebration. Hell yes it did! You'll want to see this wintry, punk rock wedding on the slopes…
