Tassles, corsets, and fans: the burlesque wedding eye candy of your dreams

We’ve always had a penchant for a sexy and retro burlesque show at a wedding. And we usually see awesome examples that are totally share-worthy. I decided to wrap them all up in a bow for MAXIMUM EYE CANDY! Couples performing, amazing costumes, steampunk detailing, corsets galore, and so much talent… this burlesque wedding roundup is for all your lovers of this art form. Let’s look back at some of our faves… (slight NSFW warning for a few mild bums-in-thongs shots).

Rock Band, drag kings, and burlesque: this rainbow wedding triumphs

Rock Band, drag kings, and burlesque: this rainbow wedding triumphs

Crystal and Kalem wanted the focus of their wedding to be on major FUN, so that called for Rock Band, board games, personalized crossword puzzles, Mad Libs, a rapper, drag kings, and burlesque. Add in a ring warming, a moment of silence/blessing during the ceremony, a handfasting, and an art gallery surprise from Kalem with loads of art, this rainbow wedding gave us reason to LIVE.

In lieu of a first dance, they had a first Rock Band song, and their six parental figures joined for a family performance.

This theatrical Halloween wedding slays with its dark glamour

Monique and Danika worked with some of California’s most skilled designers to create this masterpiece of a theatrical Halloween wedding. From the headdress to the table decor, the skulls and skeletons of creatures adorned everything. Danika’s custom dress was handmade by the killer [heart link="http://vendors.offbeatwed.com/listing/dark-garden-unique-corsetry"]Dark Garden Unique Corsetry[/heart] and is a work of art. Their ceremony may have been sweet and simple with just the two of them and their officiant, but the reception was another story. Every guest showed up in elaborate costumes to watch the spectacular burlesque show. It’s time to see the whole thing in all its glory.

Now I’m stoked to announced that J. Von Stratton has a line of wedding dresses, perfectly combining the show queen aesthetics (sequins! mermaid sillouettes! heart-shaped cut-outs!) with wedding-ready realness…

Dramatically gorgeous dark fairy wedding

Unseelie royalty has arrived in their finery: a rich red gown, red and black leather, and lush florals at this dark fae wedding. The castle backdrop betrays their status among the other dark fae in the Unseelie court.
