By having their wedding at a cool breakfast restaurant, Kristen and Tracy not only found a beautiful, affordable venue but also a theme: Eggs! Here is their “Eggciting, Eggstra special, Eggstravaganza” complete with dashing butch-bride tux, Egg bouquets, tear-jerking equality speech from Mom, Bride Bingo for the kids and the most awesomest wedding party t-shirts evar.
Lindsay & Val’s Broadway-themed, musical wedding
Lindsay & Val share a passion for attending musicals and shows. They incorporated hints of that throughout their Broadway-themed wedding in Chicago. Even though gay marriage isn’t legal in Illinois, Lindsay & Val wanted to have a wedding ceremony in which they could unite in front of their friends and family!
These two had a self-uniting wedding at Falling Water
Leah & Jordan had a humanist/quaker inspired wedding at Frank Lloyd Wright’s house: Falling Water. This meant they did not have an officiant presiding over their wedding. Additionally, instead of just the bride wearing white, the entire wedding party wore white.
Michael & Jeannie’s eternal Tae Kwon Do wedding
Michael & Jeannie met while learning Tae Kwon Do. They thought the best way to celebrate their union would be through a “sparring match.”
Sarah Joy & Joseph’s modern and minimalist, welding wedding
Sarah Joy & Joseph wanted to celebrate their wedding in a way that was truly them. They decided to throw a “welding” ceremony because both of their jobs involve welding. What an original way to symbolize the fusion of two people into one unit!
