Jessie & Mark’s fête fun, games, and baking wedding
This UK fête wedding had all the games you’d expect: Splat the Alien, a Nerf-gun Monster Shooting Gallery, and a Hook-A-Duck. Plus they had board games, a baking contest, and even Tombola! It was like the most excellent carnival + wedding ever. It doesn’t hurt that these two are ultra adorable and really crafty. Lots of DIY = lots of personalization.
Kat & Scott’s gamer geek gathering (with a side of wedding)
This pair knows how to play to their audience: board games, Rock Band, and gamer references all over this joint. They even have D6 cake pops! You’ll also love the sweet ending to the tale of a nervous brother and his ring warming duty. This is one kick-ass geekfest for gamers and those who love them.
One wedding to rule them all: a Lord of the Rings fantasy
Sara and Rob love Lord of the Rings and fantasy in general. They channeled that love into this Hobbit-y, outdoor party fit for getting married (or any 111th birthdays.
15 wedding reception games and activities for good times!
“We hosted a game night reception so it could be more interactive for everyone. We bought most of the prizes on sale, nearing $200, but still saved a lot by not hiring a DJ or band, which comes with an added cost of a dance floor and lights.”
That quote from Jami and Jamie’s backyard game night wedding inspired me to put together a roundup of great games that you can play at your wedding. Ready, set, GO!
Pac-Man, pizza, and Princess Peach at this bowling wedding
Melanie and Chris are awesome nerds to the core and held their wedding in Bangor, Maine. It had a bowling alley, an arcade, pool tables, and a tropical-themed bar. Their own personal touches included a Pac-Man cake and cookies, personalized “O.G.: Original Gamer” bowling shirts, Monopoly guest book, and a Princess Peach program.
A Rube Goldberg machine and epic gamefest wedding
This wedding wasn’t about dancing or put-on formality. Instead, it was about good old fashioned FUN and a whole lot of games. One of the main events was having all the guests help build a Rube Goldberg machine! Also included: a pop quiz about the couple, homemade cookies and milk, a ceremony officiated by “The Rev for Whatev,” jump ropes, giant dominoes, and tons of toys.
