A cozy & wintry destination wedding in the The Austrian Alps (with a dirndl dress!)

Laura and Patrick had an Austrian destination wedding that was incandescent. They traveled from the U.S. to their favorite little village in the Austrian Alps. They bonded over their mutual travels and their shared love of a town called Hopfgarten. It eventually became the venue for their wedding. Patrick stumbled upon Berggasthof Tenn while traveling and immediately knew it was the right venue. Laura agreed and it was off to the races with planning.

An intimate, ultraviolet Austrian wedding with bits of Scotland

Karin and Helge love Scotland and have spent several vacations there. So they decided to instill some of what they love into their ultraviolet dress and kilt, velvet shoes covered in embroidery (illustrating their last name!), and a horse-drawn carriage to transport all their guests. My favorite part? The bouquet was split into three parts and given to the three witnesses of the ceremony.

This igloo wedding in Austria will warm your cold, cold heart

Their intimate mountain ceremony took place in a rustic wooden cabin away from the hustle and bustle of the ski slopes in the Hochbrixen ski area. Guests were welcomed to the igloo village with cocktails served in ice glasses. After a quick introduction to the igloo, the whole wedding party got to try their ice carving skills in the Alpeniglu Village. You've GOT to see this one…
