A DIY-styled vintage vineyard-meets-Gatsby LA wedding

Corrie and Renie had one of the sweetest weddings at Heavenly Pond, a hidden gem in LA’s Franklin Canyon Park. There’s just so much LOVE here: everything from the happy, vibrant guests to the sun streaming down during the ceremony is a little bit divine.

A 1920s-era vintage wedding in a 19th-century Victorian house

In the mood for some fabulous vintage style? This wedding delivers. The bride, Courtney, gives us two dresses to satisfy our appetites: a lusciously beaded, green flapper-style number and a vintage 1920s dress with the actual accompanying headpiece, which we’ve been staring at covetously ever since we first saw it. There was even a photo shown at the wedding of the original bride wearing both pieces (look for it on the guest book table!).

Natasha & Jordan’s Roaring Twenties theater wedding

This retro ’20s bash was held in a theater, had three headpiece changes (my kind of girl), and eclectic music (including a ceremony serenade from the bride’s father’s band!). And get ready to get a toothache from the tutu flower girls and kids reading Shel Silverstein at the ceremony. PLUS: a 1920s-themed photo booth makes everyone era-ready!

Lexie & Al’s Gatsby-inspired transatlantic elopement

This week we’re celebrating intimate weddings with destination elopements, cozy registry office vows, and private romantic ceremonies. It’s the warm fuzzies on a smaller scale. Today we’ve got a transatlantic couple who planned a destination wedding in honor of their love of the Jazz Age. And what better place to pay homage than New Orleans itself?

A 1920s Princess Bride surprise wedding

Kathy and Nathan dropped the ultimate surprise on their families and friends with a 1920s-themed birthday party ruse-turned-wedding! Not many people knew, but one in particular had to be in on the surprise. The officiant was dressed in full “Impressive Clergyman” garb and, naturally, began the ceremony with the famous ceremony monologue from The Princess Bride.
