What could be happier than a bright yellow sunflower wedding? “If we were going to do a wedding it was going to be us,” say Eyerusalem and James. Their red and yellow celebration of love at Omar Arts and Events in Omaha combined their favorite things into a spectacular romantic event that was just the way they wanted it to be….
“We both love sunflowers and they come in yellow and red so it all worked out nicely with our yellow and red theme. We love dogs too, and we were lucky to have a dog-friendly venue so we could have our dog and our officiant's dog attend!”

“Using Offbeat Bride really gave us a good starting ground to pull together something we liked. Our officiant said ‘You may now seal this union with a kiss!' instead of traditional language since we didn't like the weird consent vibes of someone giving us permission to kiss. We kissed and everyone clapped, which startled our Corgi guest, who started howling, which made everyone immediately laugh!”

“Our ceremony was maybe 10 minutes long. We wanted to get straight to the fun part of the wedding — the reception!”

“These were some of the Offbeat Bride resources we used….”

“Another resource we loved is Trello. Trello is GREAT for wedding planning. You can tag your fiance (or whoever you add to your board) in specific items you need them to do. I had Lists with Research, Outfits, Vendors (once finalized), and a To-Do, Doing, and Done to keep track of what we were working on, what we have done, and what is next. It is free, you can collaborate, it is private, I HIGHLY recommend Trello.”
