This spooktacular Halloween wedding will get you in the mood for the macabre #Real Weddings: Western US#black dress#black wedding veil#costumes#couples of color#halloween#tattooed groom#washington Posted Jun 5 2017 Catherine Clark bijouxandbits Photos by: Vibrant Lens Photography Photos by Vibrant Lens Photography RaKayla and Juan are obsessed with all things Halloween and incorporated it into their engagement session, boudoir session, and, of course, the wedding itself. If you're in the midst of planning your own Halloween wedding, get ready for some killer ideas. We got the scoop on all the spooky goodness from RaKayla herself… We revealed our wedding and its theme with our engagement photos that we posted to our wedding website and Facebook page. We encouraged our guests to wear costumes so we thought we should get in the spirit as well by doing our session dressed as a modern Frankenstein's monster and his bride with a graveyard as our playground. The invitations reflected the Halloween theme and I "blood-splattered" the envelopes with red paint. The boudoir session consisted of me posing with a coffin in lingerie and as a scantily clad Freddy Krueger. We did a first look before the ceremony and I wore a mask in an attempt to scare Juan. For the ceremony, we had a harpist play "Black Magic Woman," "The Addams Family Theme," "Monster Mash," and "Thriller" for the prelude. I walked down the aisle with my father to the harpist singing "Children of the Night (Come Little Children)" from Hocus Pocus and it was beautiful to hear on the harp. At the reception, there was a fountain at the entrance inside the venue that we dyed red and threw in parts of skeletons and dry ice so when it was started it looked like a bubbling cauldron. We had a photo station upstairs with two Halloween-y backdrops and props. For the cake-cutting, we stabbed the cake Psycho-style. And the fog also came out once night began to fall and we were able to get some photos in it across the field of the venue.
