Normally in my wedding shoe posts, I focus on two things: funky and affordable. I like to ensure that for every $200 shoe, there's a $50 shoe; for every rainbow bunny platform, there's a unicorn wedge.

Today I'm going in a different direction. Today we're having a collective wet dream over not-cheap-but-completely-gorgeous romantic and slightly more traditional wedding shoes. By romance I mean shades of sparkle and bows; and by not-cheap I mean some of these cost my entire catering budget. Today we're just about sparkles and daydreams. Some days, that's just what you need.

  1. I ordered the Ninas in navy blue and they are FABULOUS. So pretty with the rhinestone ankle strap. Traded them in though, for the Betsey Johnsons in **green** though (only available from Betsey Johnson online direct) – blue and ivory colors are available elsewhere (Zappos, Macys…). They come in navy and pale blue. I can't say either pair makes a good dancing shoe for me, but for the ceremony and photos, they are so amazing. Going to have to find something more comfy with a strong ankle strap for dancing. I plan on being on my feet most of the night.

  2. Not that these aren't GORGEOUS, but do they even make bridal shoes that are NOT open/peep-toe, 4"+ high, or glittered/embellished by a blind Swarovski employee? I'm not able to walk (let alone stand) in much more than 2 3/4" on a GOOD day.

If I wasn't one of those "sensible shoes" people, I'd be on (in) those Mischkas like **** on velcro!

  3. I so want sparkly high heels (and OH BOY does my 3yo want me to wear them)! I'm 6 months pregnant, though, and with some pelvic issues, I can't wear heels AT ALL at the moment, so white and silver sandals it is. Ah well. Fantasy shoes FTW!
