Today we're paying homage to one of our favorite nature-inspired wedding themes: the rustic wedding. We're celebrating woodsy, outdoor weddings, majestic mountain weddings, lush forest weddings, barn weddings, farm weddings, log details, barefoot brides, and no shortage of flower crowns.

Let's take a peek in our archives for rustic wedding decor ideas, rustic wedding fashion, and rustic jewelry, dresses, favors, and ceremony backdrops. Let your hair down and keep all your rough edges: we're going rustic!

The branch arch at Erin and Samantha's candlelight in the woods wedding evokes some seriously magical forest wedding fantasies.

Offbeat Bride readers have been loving log details since forever! We've got a whole archive waiting to peruse. In the meantime, you can see the rest of this tablescape at Kerianne and Michael's lakeside wedding.

A rustic horse-drawn carriage fits in perfectly AND serves a useful purpose at Nathalie and Stephen's family-friendly, on their own farm wedding.

We hosted the entire wedding on our farm. It was A LOT of work leading up to it, but it was all worth it. We got to do everything exactly the way we wanted. The reception was held in the barn Stephen's grandfather built in 1955. We live in an old farmhouse in the same yard as the barn and enjoy reliving the reception every time we walk into the barn.

Nathalie and Stephen found another use for a hollowed log: a smudging apparatus!

Our wedding ceremony was really important to us and worked out perfectly. It was conducted in a natural clearing in the aspen forest on the Olson family farm. The grass was high and the fall colours were vibrant. We smudged with sweet grass and all of our family and friends sat in a circle around us.

Let's see what Katrina and Joshua had to say about their mismatched glassware and flower centerpieces:

Our big money saver was the flowers. All the bouquets and table pieces were DIY by myself and three bridesmaids. The morning of our wedding, Joshua and I went to Trader Joe's and bought $88 worth of flowers, we had also purchased about $20 worth of floral supplies from a craft store.

Katrina and Joshua also rocked these amazing sliced log bases for their rustic-meets-dinosaur cake display.

We're loving this idea for collecting gifts. Bethany and Brendan utilized a vintage truck bed with a cute sign.

The star of Bethany and Brendan's ceremony was their hay bale seating. It's comfy and totally setting-appropriate for their forest ceremony.

Using the most fabulous natural backdrop for your ceremony? Yes, please! Lacey and Jason's mountain feast and dance party had this and more:

On those practice hikes, we fell in love with each other, but also with the gorgeousness of the area. So what better way to celebrate our next big adventure together than to get married at a venue overlooking the very mountains where we fell in love?

Lacey and Jason also knew how to rock the rustic cheese plate concept:

We love to eat, so the food was a very important element of the wedding to us. We also wanted to make sure that all of our vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-intolerant guests could enjoy the food as much as we did. With that in mind, as well as our “omnivore with a preference for veggies” lifestyle, we developed a veggie-forward menu with lots of great, fresh flavors that all of our guests could enjoy.

Could we love their succulent favors even more? So many rustic details to ogle at this wedding.

Siobhan and Chadwick's moon-loving techno-hippie wedding gave us tulle- and branch-filled dreams. Let's hear Siobhan talk about her rustic fashion choices:

One dear girlfriend made my headdress, Chad's boutonniere, the girls' feather barrettes, and decorated my daughter's flower girl basket. My friend Koren and another close friend decorated the gorgeous arch…

The birdcages are second only to the wooden cake toppers on the strawberry cake. Oh, and see the color of that wooden topper's dress? It's a must-see on the actual bride.

Oh barn weddings, how we love thee. This pair totally owned the broom-jumping moment at their rainy day wedding.

They also rocked these rustic berry desserts. Food can totally help set the theme for your own rustic wedding.

We recently revisited this wedding since the groom has since found fame on a certain Netflix show about female prison life. His and wife Susan's handmade rustic wedding is a thing of beauty. Here's what they had to say about it:

We saved thousands of dollars doing our flowers (ordered from Trader Joe's), vases (painted upcycled jars), favors, chalkboards, and drinking glasses.

Check out their deer-topped cake and wheat-bearing bridesmaids:

Jessica and Andrew's dance party barn wedding featured this knot-tying ceremony on a rustic branch cross:

We didn't want to do a unity candle or plant a tree, or any of those things, but we wanted something to show the knot of the two of us with God. We found a cross (that now hangs in our bedroom) and tied three small ropes around the middle. It served as our personalized unity symbol.

Kim and Cole's barn and bonfire wedding is a sight to behold overall. But one of our favorite DIYed rustic decor details is their handmade wine cork chandelier:

Family is really important to us, so we made sure to include our families every chance we could. Cole's mom made our desserts, and my mom built our wine cork chandelier and helped design the invitations. My sister built a photo booth from scratch, and even made our wedding rings.

Katherine and James' barefoot eco-friendly forest wedding rocked these majorly adorable circular game invitations. We've seen these before, but never this rustically delicious!

One challenge was probably the invites. James designed them, and then we had to figure out how to cut out over 100 perfect circles. Then we hadn't thought about size and envelopes, so we had to make over 100 envelopes by hand to fit them. It was one of the hardest tasks of the wedding, but we loved them.

Katherine and James made us a little verklempt with their barefoot ceremony, too:

When I started walking down the carpet toward the circle of twigs created by one of our amazing groomsmen, I looked down and saw his bare feet to match mine. I both cried and laughed at the same time.

D'aww.

Ah, one of the original naked cakes that swept through our souls. Liz and Mark's fanciful handcrafted Northwest forest wedding is one of the grand-daddies of our rustic weddings. It's off the charts with its rustic, handmade charm. Take a look at their bird's nest ring warming ceremony, their foliage topiary centerpieces, and the most rustic of rustic cheese plates ever:
