Shoes that real Offbeat Brides totally wore at their weddings #Wedding Shoes October 4 2013 | Ariel offbeatbride This post features offbeat affiliates, meaning that if you buy something featured, you'll be financially supporting this site's mission of bringing awesomeness to readers everywhere. A few weeks ago, a reader suggested I do a round up not of shoes that I like, but of shoes that actual real honest-to-god Offbeat Bride readers have actually really honest-to-god worn at their real weddings. I LOVE THIS IDEA! Over on the Offbeat Bride Tribe, I asked a few Tribesmaids to share their weddings shoes, which I have lovingly compiled below in this post. So if you want shoes that are actually walkable, wearable, and not just my weird delusions about what looks awesome, here we go… If you see a blank spot here at the top, disable your ad blocker for a second to see the shoes! Bonus: I still wear them all the time! 6 agree Reply Oh, man! I wish I had seen the request sooner-I would have submitted my glittery peridot green shoes! 1 agrees Reply I would love a link to those anyway! 2 agree Reply Heh heh, I went with aesthetics over walkability – lace-up knee-high, bright red, 5.5" platform heeled-boots. I will admit that by the time the ceremony and cocktail hour was over, I was very glad to slip into something with a kitten heel, but you know what – I loved those boots, and I still do. (I need to find more excuses to wear them out…) So, high five for weird delusions of what looks awesome! 1 agrees Reply Can we get a shot of a naked foot? I was barefoot in my parents' backyard 🙂 4 agree Reply Ha, I love this. More feet here, too. 😉 http://offbeatbride.com/tag/barefoot-bride 1 agrees Reply I actually had three pairs of wedding shoes. I didn't do it intentionally, it just kind of happened. I'm not really a shoe girl but I got all fan girl on my wedding shoes. Links to m wedding shoes included. I found these great black boots that I wanted. They're like, knee-high, short stacked heel, witch boots from the Nine West Karen Elson vintage Americana collection (these: http://bit.ly/19mRbXZ). I loved them, although I had really been looking for ankle booties. I already had them when I found a pair of Irregular Choice Abigail's Party booties that were so gorgeous I had to have them — ankle-high boots, black (sequins!) and tan, fluffy black ribbons for ties (these: http://bit.ly/GAAZFR). And then I knew that I would end up out of my heels by the time the dancing started, and we had all the guys wearing Converse sneakers so while I ordered my husband's custom shoes I ordered myself a pair too. I love, love them (these: http://bit.ly/1a6r57J). I ended up wearing the lace-up boots while we took photos (in a pumpkin patch — the stacked heel kept me stable in the fields), wore the ankle boots for the ceremony and special dances (the stilettos made me not trip on my dress), and wore the Converse for the remainder of the night (yay, comfort!). I still wear all three pair and adore them all. 1 agrees Reply THOSE PEACOCK SHOES. Reply Those are my shoes! And I originally found them on a shoe post here (thanks @arielmeadow)! Vivienne Westwood Lady Dragon heels. My flats were from Debenhams but are no longer available. I got both shoes on sale so got around £170-worth of shoes for £85! 🙂 Reply I am wearing a pair of shoes from this company that decorates the bottoms of heels for brides to wear on their weddings. I'm having swirls (per our theme) decorated onto the shoes with our names and wedding date in red and gold (our wedding colors). https://www.facebook.com/tattooshoe. Reply To whoever those "Dance Instead of Walking" heels from Modcloth, THANK YOU!!!!!! I've been wanting something just like that! I'm just wondering how wide they are, and how cream vs. white they actually are. 🙂 Reply sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo FUN. i had platform white skechers for mine, it was fantastic. height without pain for me!!!! LOL Reply I like the Converse. I feel like someone wearing Converse, understand how to have fun at their wedding. You get to dance the night away without your feet hurting, or having to take off your shoes. Reply I planned to end up with no shoes-all the fun events have ended me busting a move on the dance floor sans shoes, why would my wedding be any different? Although my husband wore cons, we were all about the comfy. Reply Join the conversation Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
