A magical and bookish Harry Potter wedding with a golden snitch cake

Updated Mar 16 2016

I may be biased, but I do so love a Harry Potter wedding. Allyson and Casey had some awesome details for it: book pages wrapped around candles, tables named after places in the novels, the Sorting Hat, and even a SNITCH CAKE! Even their engagement shoot was Harry Potter house-themed. They held the wedding at Ridley Creek Mansion in Pennsylvania, which fit the theme nicely. BG ProductionsThey ♥ OBB; we ♥ them captured the day and filled us in on the details.

Check out the vendors that made this day happen:

  1. Oh my gosh, their engagement shoot is so cute! Is it bad that I can tell from their scarves which houses they're in?

  2. What a fun way to share something both the bride and the groom love! The wedding cake is great as are the placement cards and themed tables. The mansion is beautiful and fits the theme very well. Overall a creative and well done wedding. Congratulations Allyson and Casey!

  3. so glad everyone is loving this wedding. They did such an Awesome job of incorporating the theme of harry potter without too much!!! i LOVEd the candle vases were covered with pages from the book!! and the cake WAS amazing! Sweet Talks makes ALL our b-day cakes and we have had some amazing ones including an Alice in wonderland cake and a Dr. who cake this year for my hubby!!!

  4. This looks like a beautiful wedding. I love how they incorporated Harry Potter without it looking at all kiddie. Not that there's anything wrong with kiddie, mind you, but I really like how elegant all this stuff is.
