Our girl, Pennsylvania-based Alysha Yoder, has everything we'd want in a kick-ass wedding photographer: artistic training, mad day job skills (she's a corporate photographer during the week!), and of course, she's so into offbeat weddings like yours (check it!). She's also seen some epic Northeast wedding venues from comic book stores to wineries to hotels in the style of The Shining. Alysha has captured her share of offbeat weddings that make us swoon. Let's talk about a few of her favorite venues where she's photographed weddings and how her skills will translate into making YOUR wedding photos ultra magical. OH: and there's a special Black Friday deal in store for you, too. Read on to see. Alysha shot Mike and Ali's engagement shoot last year and she couldn't wait to shoot this awesome couple's wedding at Valenzano Family Winery in New Jersey. One of my favorite shots was clearly this which she backlit in the barrel room. I mean, does it get any more epic? Kulthum and Sean's Islamic wedding (with official ceremony in Hawaii next year!)had this GORGEOUS golden hour shot at the Bethlehem SteelStacks walkway in Bethlehem, PA. Raise your hands for photographers who know how to leverage that amazing sunlight hour. Kate and Marshall's wedding took place at the Hall of Philosophy in Mt. Gretna, PA, which in itself is a cool location. The sun streamed through the trees in all of the shots. Plus, bonus adorable baby bump in action! James and Ashley are Halloween lovers who got married at a hotel which totally channeled The Shining, The Globe Inn in East Greenville, PA. James collects gas masks and gave some to his groomsmen as gifts. So rad. Alysha told us that her favorite part of documenting weddings is how much of a big part she is in the day itself. She builds relationship with couples to make damn sure that they get the best experience working with her and that their resulting photos capture what makes them tick. When it comes to wedding photography, personalizing the experience is key. The other big personalization bonus to hiring Alysha is that she personalizes the wedding package to exactly what you need. Nothing is cookie cutter — Alysha works with you to make the price and details are what YOU need, not what everyone else needs. It's such a relief, seriously. Black Friday special: If you get in touch with Alysha this Black Friday weekend (Friday through Sunday, November 27-29, 2015) and book a wedding or other photo shoot, she'll knock 5% off! Mention this post to get the deal. Alysha Yoder Photography is also featured in our Offbeat Vendors guide! Alysha photographs all over the East Coast and is aiming to tackle some international and destination weddings, so don't be afraid to make contact if you're not in the Pennsylvania area. Alysha is often traveling all over the place and documents it over on her Facebook page. Totally follow along! Go say hello to Alysha and feel confident that your wedding photography is in GREAT hands. Knock that off your to-do list for good!
