Comfortable wedding shoes are NOT an oxymoron

most comfortable and colorful wedding shoes

First, let’s start out with the simple truth: comfort is subjective. There are some of us who swear that 4″ platform heels are completely comfortable (and of course they are, compared to 5″ non-platform heels!), while others of us will only wear flats. Meanwhile, others of us find the lack of arch support in flats to be a complete killer — flats are the worst for some arches! Keeping in mind that no collection of comfortable shoes could ever be perfect for everyone, I thought I’d wrastle up a few of my very favorite funky, colorful, and yes somewhat comfortable wedding shoes. My focus here is on brands known for their comfort, as well as lower heel height, chunkier heels, and flats.

Imagine these oxfords laced with a ribbon that matches your wedding outfit!

Comments on Comfortable wedding shoes are NOT an oxymoron

  1. Those turquoise leather Gabriella Rocha Ginger ones are out of stock in anything approaching my size. This is tragic, as they are exactly what I want.

    • But wait… it looks like they’re available in sizes 5-13. What size ARE you?!

  2. Thanks for showing options! I’m struggling to find my very own wedding shoes right now but the funny thing is that one of my creative outlets is painting on shoes and handbags. So not only do I have to find my own shoes, but. yeah, I need to paint them to, lol 🙂

  3. I find the sole is more important than the heel when it comes to comfort. I’ve had flats that kill my feet because there’s absolutely nothing to the sole and moderate heels that feel great. (Really high heels always kill my feet; it’s just the way my feet are made.) I’ll pay what they’re worth for a shoe with a really good sole.

    • I know how you feel! I have never bought a pair of summer sandals because as well as being a size UK 9 (US 11) meaning there isn’t as much choice what is available has paper thin soles and I seem to have super sensitive feet which means that a lot of shoes are painful and if they’re even a little bit thin I can feel every stone on the ground. >.<

Because of my size though I've never really worn heels but I'd like to find some one day.

  4. Ok, Showing all of these lovely comfortable shoes and then showing the random sexy shoe at the end….is like showing us all of the wonderful ways to eat healthy, and then posting a giant piece of chocolate cake! LMAO! In any event, thank you for the article – I need me some comfy shoes for the big day!
