Mawwiage in tights: a Princess Bride meets Robin Hood: Men in Tights wedding #Real Weddings: Western US#california#costumes#geeky weddings#movies#renaissance#the princess bride Posted Jan 4 2019 Catherine Clark bijouxandbits Photos by: Local Embers & Co. Photos by Local Embers & Co. There's one definite way to get me excited about a wedding: tell me it's a Princess Bride meets Robin Hood: Men in Tights theme. I am not worthy. Wait, does that make it a Cary Elwes theme, too? Either way, Kaitlyn and Blaise love all things cosplay and Renaissance so it made perfect sense. We're talking groomsmen in tights, two themed dresses and a crown for the bride (one that she made!), elf ears for everyone, and costumes galore including Gandalf, Dr. Strange, and Sonny and Sher-wood. The ceremony was particularly fun since Blaise rushed through to beat the clock as Prince Humperdinck did in The Princess Bride. And of course, it was officiated by the Impressive Clergyman. It was a wild night of men in tights dancing, sword cake cutting, and merriment of all kinds. We're men, we're men in tiiights (tight tights). Always on guard defending the people's riiiights — when you're in a fix, just call for the men in tights. We're butch. (I didn't even need to look those lyrics up.)
