This week we're celebrating intimate weddings with destination elopements, cozy city hall vows, and private romantic ceremonies. It's the warm fuzzies on a smaller scale. Today we've got Lauren and Gretchen, who rocked a private courthouse ceremony and then a bed and breakfast party with lots of friends and family.

Lauren is crafty and made all the details for the wedding including the card box sign, topiary and butterfly centerpieces, and mason jar photo holders. Jessie Mary Photography captured the couple and their guests at both locations, including the gorgeous B&B located an hour outside of D.C.

The ceremony was attended by their immediate family and closest friends.

After the ceremony, everyone went for ice cream!

The reception was held two days later at a B&B surrounded by rolling hills and horses. They rented the whole thing for the weekend.

Comments on A courthouse wedding with a bed and breakfast bash

  1. This wedding is SOOOO darn lovely!!! Congrats ladies, and here’s to a million and 1 years of love and happiness 🙂

  2. ooo, ooo! This is exactly what we’re planning! More details, please! What did you and your guests do all weekend at the B&B? FH is worried about that (although I’m not particularly). Sounds wonderful!

  3. Thanks for all the love! Just to clarify…my beautiful wife Gretchen is the crafty one who made all of the items on display and the rainbow shrug 🙂 I’m sure she will respond with more details on all of her hard work. I’m a very lucky lady and Jessica’s photos truly capture the fun and love that encompassed our events. Best to you all!
