Liz and Daniel had a super DIYed wedding with all kinds of personal details. Liz made the decor and their rainbow cake herself in addition to the food being a joint effort of the family. Liz herself was stirring the soup just an hour before the ceremony!

The day was intimate with only 30 people attending. They rented an old farm house by the sea in Maine and invited all their guests to stay there with them. They loved the old feeling and the history of the house. They rented the house for a whole week so they could have other festivities like board game marathons. Since they're avid runners, they put together a 5k which they hope to repeat for years to come.

Their friend performed the ceremony and they played rock, paper, scissors to see who would say their vows first. After the ceremony they walked down to the ocean for some quiet time alone.

Don't miss their board game guest book. Fun fact: Daniel took Liz's last name! Aw yes. Let's see the whole week-long fun fest…

  1. THIS is my dream wedding, and kudos to Offbeat Bride for featuring it. Not sure about doing everything myself, but I love the intimacy, the private venue, the select and dear family and friends included in the ceremony (not theatrical production) and everything else about it, including the appropriate-length dress for a daytime wedding!

  2. I love how happy and excited Liz looks in the photos, her huge smile is contagious. And that rainbow cake – yes!
