Sometimes a man (or dapper bride!) just needs a trusty, voice-activated LED tie to feel complete.

Oh, you don't have one of those?

Then it's time to get down and dirty with a little tech-friendly DIY. Adafruit created this magical-looking tie that has a working VU meter (volume unit meter). Your vows could become a synchronized light show, ya'll!

It takes a few supplies like FLORA wearable connections, conductive thread, and of course, a tie (or whatever item of clothing you plan to electronically bling-out).

High tech fashion FTW! Here's the whole tutorial:

  1. Olay this is just a little bit amazing. Wouldn’t fit in anywhere with our theme, but I still feel like I need it!

  2. Great video! I’m nothing like technologically literate but I’m still planning to use something like this to make a voice-activated earlamp headband for my upcoming Dalek dress. Thanks!
