Pirate meets Michael Jackson at this Vegas wedding

Updated Oct 12 2015

Elizabeth and Erik managed to mix a pirate theme with Las Vegas and Michael Jackson, and came away with this amazing glammed-up shindig worthy of the themes. The reception was actually held at Treasure Island in Las Vegas, so that alone fit the theme perfectly, while the ceremony took place at a local chapel.

Jamie of JamieY Photography sent this over saying, "My husband said it was the funnest reception he has ever been to." Considering there were some synchronized moves with a Michael Jackson impersonator, I can totally believe it.

Elizabeth and Erik handmade almost all of the decorations and favors.

Oooh, we've got a tutorial on how to DIY these!

The bridesmaids had rhinestone eye patches and the groomsmen had pirate hats.

They started off doing the Thriller dance, but then the lights went out and a Michael Jackson impersonator came out to finish up the dance!

One of the toasts included a song written for them, and everyone had lyrics printed out at their seats so the whole room could sing along.

Check out the blog post on JamieY Photography's blog for the full story on this Pirate meets Vegas wedding.

  1. I get a kick out of the "spare bride and groom" in the background of the pic at the Welcome to LV sign! That much be a really popular photo op!
