Feast your eyes on this joyful Chicago elopement with donuts & dogs #Real Weddings: Midwest US#chicago#illinois#short dress#spring#wedding dogs#wedding dress with sleeves Posted Apr 4 2019 Catherine Clark bijouxandbits Photos by: Emma Mullins Photography Photos by Emma Mullins Photography Chris and Anne's Chicago elopement took place one April afternoon on the six year anniversary of the day they met. The guest list included immediate family, including their adorable pups, Coorah and Luka. It was important to them that their wedding day be more of a casual, laid-back affair surrounded by those who love them most. Anne's sister officiated the intimate lakefront ceremony on Lake Michigan underneath two budding trees. Afterward, Chris, Anne, and their photographer Emma hopped on a trolley and headed downtown to Stan's Donuts, one of Chicago's BEST donut joints. Because Chris had recently acquired a Lifetime Supply of Stan's(!), EVERYONE got free donuts. I'm officially full of envy. The staff even set aside a whole box of Anne's favorite (Raspberry Bismark) even though it wasn't on the Monday menu. After the donut break, they took a stroll in downtown Chicago for some iconic Chicago portraits (you'll recognize a few of them!). Don't miss the first look WITH doggos, Anne's handmade flower crowns for the pups and her vintage engagement ring which a family heirloom passed down from Chris' paternal grandmother, with which he proposed. Swoon. Congrats you two, this came out really AWESOME!!!! I would say in my personal opinion, this is a really cool elopement. Chicago just seems to be a really cool city that is just underrated. Reply I'm in love with her dress and gutted that it's from a consignment shop! Does anyone know what designer it was or how to find the drop waist like that? Everything I've seen is closer to Fit and Flare and even further dropped, but I *adore* that look! Reply Hi Jessica! I'm actually the bride in this post and I'm so glad you liked my dress 🙂 It's in storage right now, but if you're still curious, I can check the label for the designer for you (I don't think it's anything impressive.) Reply Anne! Thank you so much for the offer! I ended up finding my dress–no drop waist, but a different style really suited me, so no need to check. I really appreciate it! You look amazing in it! Reply This is ADORABLE and PERFECT and I love everything about it. I recently visited Chicago for the first time and was so delighted to see both Stan's {an accidental find of mine, somehow} and the theatre I was seeing a show at both in this post! <3 Reply Join the conversation Cancel ReplyYour email address will not be published.
