A garden ceremony & haunted hotel wedding in Oklahoma #Real Weddings: Southern US#bride in pants#brides in glasses#couples of color#haunted venue#lesbian weddings#LGBTQ#oklahoma Posted Nov 22 2017 Catherine Clark bijouxandbits Photos by: Robyn Icks Photography Photos by Robyn Icks Photography Jessica and Krystal's haunted hotel wedding was an amalgam of family, love, tears, and laughter. Krystal was beyond stunning in her suit from White House Black Market. And the clean lines & intricate embroidery of Jessica's dress? Fabulous. The Skirvin Hotel is a beautiful historic hotel first opened in 1911, is Oklahoma City’s oldest hotel, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. On top of that, it's said to be haunted. Haunted venues FTW! It was not uncommon over the hotel's existence for guests to complain about an inability to sleep, often due to the incessant sounds of a child crying (based on stories of ghosts among the hotel's past staff). Staff members have reported everything from strange noises to things moving by themselves. The ceremony itself took place a couple blocks from the Skirvin Hotel, on the south side of the Myriad Gardens Crystal Bridge. And boy, was it hot. But when this pair was sharing their handwritten vows in front of an intimate group of about 16 guests, nobody cared how hot it was.
