Because you'll look like a purple-heeled bombshell. Why? Because you'll look like royalty. Why? Because you'll look like a surreal circus freak.

As you can see, we've featured a LOT of purple-footed brides over the years, so it makes perfect sense that I'd take some time to dabble in purple shoes.

These range from the prettiest pale lilac to the deepest almost-blue, from $40 to $1400, completely flat to towering tall. But they're all purple.

And they're all awesome (especially the ones with the de-socketed eyeballs!)

  1. you had me at de-socketed eyeballs!

    the big flowers & bows are so Effie Trinket.
    love the variety and oh yeah random bonus shoe!

  2. These are seriously awesome, but all the tall ladies in the house gotta weep with envy at all those Irregular Choice numbers. I totally plan on bedazzling a pair of stripper shoes (go up to size 14 yo! Thank you, drag queens!) in the Irregular Choice style for my getup.

  3. I got married in purple shoes. The color matched my bridesmaids dresses! Loved it!!!

    • I did the same thing ๐Ÿ™‚ My girls dresses were purple, and my shoes were purple. It looked fantastic!

  4. Can you go a vintage, pink, or wedge shoe round up? Pretty please? I am having the hardest time finding shoes!

  5. AWWWW!!!! These purple shoes are so cute! I especially love the RSVP Cailyn (last shoe on the first row) and the Paris Hilton Destiny (first shoe on the fifth row).

  6. Have you officially hit every color of the rainbow now? If you have, you should do a post with rainbow shoes. (Not just colorful ones, ones that are pure color-vomit of awesome.)

  7. I’ve bought the Irregular Choice ones with the birds on the toes for my wedding shoes! They’re not called Nest Big Thing in the UK though, they’re called Ami the Dancer ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. I wore purple shoes for the ceremony then we both changed into purple Chuck’s for the reception.

  9. I am a dancer and for my first wedding I wore vintage lavender, satin tap shoes that used to belong to a Rockette. A very fitting way to walk down the aisle!

  10. What brand/style is the second shoe on the first row? I love it, but Zappo’s links never work for me (I’m in Tanzania, and something about their website goes all screwy here.) Thanks so much!

    • My favorite trick to deal with the “this link has gone off/isn’t working for me” problem:

      * Right-click or control-click on the picture
      * Select “Copy URL”
      * Go to
      * Click the little camera in the search box
      * Enter the URL
      * Hit enter, and see where else that shoe lives!

      Search by image is AWESOME for this kind of thing.

  11. I love these! While I’m not a purple girl myself, I think it’s great that there’s so many gorgeous coloured shoes to funk up our special day! I’ve got the Seychelles ones ‘All Dressed Up’ (featured first) but in emerald green! Yay!

  12. I am in desperate need of some fuchsia (or bright pink in general), low heel, vintage inspired shoes for my NYE wedding. I do not want to tower over my man and I also have giant feet size 10 1/2 or 11 – so it seems impossible to find any shoes that will fit my big feet. ๐Ÿ™ HELP!
